Park Development Update

Spring 2005

The City of Corona is dedicated to providing the most attractive, usable parks possible for our dynamic community! Here are the latest developments on local park projects:

Butterfield Park Prefabricated Restroom
A new prefabricated restroom is scheduled to be installed on the west side of Butterfield Park, adjacent to the existing concession building.

Promenade Community Park-North Parking Lot
Plans are being developed to construct the north parking lot at Promenade Community Park.

Santana Regional Park-West Restroom/Concession
A prefabricated restroom/concession building is scheduled to be installed in the baseball plaza, on the west side of the park.

Jameson Park
Construction plans are being developed to construct the 13 acre park located in South Corona. The master plan for the park includes; two parking lots, a play ground, restroom, half-court basketball courts (4), water misting system, picnic shelters (2) with tables and benches, a practice ballfield, an open play area, and trees. A limited budget will prevent all the amenities from being constructed in phase I.

Playground Improvements
New playgrounds are scheduled to be installed at Sheridan and Victoria Parks. The funding for these projects are through Community Development Block Grants.

Buena Vista Park
Buena Vista Park is nearing completion. The first phase of construction includes; two parking lots, a playground, a restroom, a picnic shelter, an unlit soccer field, an open play area, and benches. Trees will be installed following the parking opening utilizing grant funds.
